In loving memory to Ms. Pat
She was the behind the scene hero for us and many children like Daniel.
She would work endlessly to get meds approved and schedule all necessary treatments. She took each child personally as her sole responsibility. I could and did call her about everything, not just for Daniel. I knew that her son has type 1 diabetes so when I was hit in the stomach with that one and was sitting in the hospital with Stephen it was Pat who talked to me and assured me that he would live a good life and that God makes no mistakes. It was Pat that the Lord would lead me to call or fax over a note to her to tell her that I was praying for her.
Pat was used by God to help us emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
She is part of the reason that we see our Daniel running, swimming and being a regular boy.
Hope for Kids will not be the same without you.
We love and miss you!
Did she retire Toinia? Or move somewhere else? God doesn't promise us a perfect life on this earth - there will be struggles. But He says He is always with us, and I do believe that it's through those that He places in our path sometimes that we see His hand at work. What a blessing for you to have someone like her to walk this journey with you.
ReplyDeleteShe passed away. First she had a stroke and we thought she was getting better then she had a heart attack and never left ICU. Pat was 47 years old and a true blessing.
